The Fox News Channel is once again shaking things up a bit.
The network will add two new shows to their weekend lineup beginning in early June, with conservative favorites former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy, and former Secret Service agent and radio host Dan Bongino at the helms.
Gowdy spent eight years in Congress representing South Carolina’s fourth congressional district, and became a huge favorite among tea partiers for his no-nonsense style, and Bongino’s star has risen dramatically in recent years among conservatives.

Trey Gowdy’s New Show
Gowdy’s show will air on Sundays at 7:00pm Eastern and serve as the warm up for another popular conservative radio host, author and commentator Mark Levin.
According to a press release from Fox News, Gowdy will be,
“Capitalizing on his experiences as a former prosecutor and Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Gowdy will break down the latest legal and political news from across the nation and offer his seasoned perspective while providing viewers with the tools to draw their own conclusions.”
Before Congress, Gowdy served six years as an assistant U.S. attorney and ten as a solicitor (district attorney) before jumping into the political arena.
Trey Gowdy is also the author of “Doesn’t Hurt to Ask: Using the Power of Questions to Communicate, Connect, and Persuade,” as well as the host of “The Trey Gowdy Podcast” on Fox News Audio.
Bongino Will Host New Show
Dan Bongino is no stranger to Fox News viewers either. He is a former NYPD officer, serving the citizens of Brooklyn for two years.
Bongino then joined the Secret Service, eventually working his way up to the presidential details of former presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
After two unsuccessful attempts at running for office, he started a podcast, and has filled in for radio hosts Mark Levin and Sean Hannity.
Bongino’s own radio show will start streaming on Fox Nation on May 25, during the coveted time slot previously held by the late conservative icon Rush Limbaugh.
A press release from the Bongino team says that “viewers can expect Dan’s passionate and powerful voice on topics from policing to censorship.” He will also feature stories and interviews from “community heroes like veterans and police officers on the front lines keeping America safe.”
Dan Bongino is a frequent guest on several Fox shows. His fiery debates with fellow Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera are by some accounts legendary.
Bongino’s show will begin airing on Saturday, June 5 at 10pm Eastern time.

The Retooling Of Fox News
Election night 2020 was not a good one for Fox News Channel. The network, started by Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch to counter what he perceived to be left-wing bias by the other major networks, was a go-to for conservatives.
On Election night, Fox News was one of the first to call Arizona for Joe Biden with only 78% of the vote counted.
In January, Fox saw some of its lowest ratings ever. Some who had been longtime viewers said they were “done” with Fox News.
But with some new shows with familiar faces like Gowdy and Bongino, Fox could be offering up an apology of sorts to viewers and enticing them back with unabashed conservatives.
It will be up to them to see if Fox News can make up with angry viewers and lure them back into the fold.
Bongino gets Saturdays at 10pm, after Watters and Pirro — very red meat for the base. Gowdy gets Sunday at 7pm https://t.co/ntXbRPwbYN
