On the night before Georgia chooses who will be its next two U.S. senators, a decision that will determine which party controls the Senate, President Trump is heading to the state to headline a rally in support of incumbent Republicans David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.
“On behalf of two GREAT Senators, @sendavidperdue & @KLoeffler, I will be going to Georgia on Monday night, January 4th, to have a big and wonderful RALLY,” Trump tweeted on Sunday. “So important for our country that they win!”

Trump Is Campaigning In Georgia To Hopefully Bolster Republicans
Trump appeared at a campaign rally in Valdosta, Georgia earlier in December.
The President said re-electing the Republican senators against their Democratic challengers, Joe Osoff and Raphael Warnock, will determine “whether your children will grow up in a socialist country or free country.”

Fate Of The U.S. Senate Is In Georgia’s Hands
The current U.S. Senate is comprised of 50 Republicans and 48 Democrats.
If Democrats were to win both of Georgia’s runoff elections, a 50-50 Senate would emerge. However, with tie-breaking authority in the hands of vice president-elect Kamala Harris, her party would essentially control that body.
If Republicans maintain a Senate majority, this would enable them to block much of the Democrats’ agenda.
Ivanka Trump made a Georgia appearance to support the Republican tickers on December 21st.
It’s an honor to have her full support — and I hope you’ll join us!

Will One More Trump Appearance Pay Off For Republicans?
Needless to say, with the stakes so high, these Georgia runoffs have been a national focus.
Fox News reported Sunday, “The campaigns, political parties, and outside groups such as super PACs are dishing out massive amounts of money into the runoffs. More than $200 million has reportedly been raised in a last-ditch effort by Republicans to maintain control of the legislative chamber. ”
President Trump no doubt hopes his appearance on the eve of the January 5th vote will help Republicans clinch those victories.
